Abstract

Stunting is a very long process, starting from the fetus in the womb up to 1000 days of the fetus's life which lacks nutrition from the mother during pregnancy. Prevention of stunting is carried out as early as possible, starting from the first 1000 days of life, or from pregnancy. Stunting of infants and toddlers is a chronic nutritional problem that requires comprehensive treatment and involves various sectors. In 2018, it was determined that tackling stunting was a national development priority through the national action plan on nutrition and food security. Sumedang Regency is one of 160 priority districts/cities for handling stunting. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of health promotion on the accuracy of providing mp-ASI on optimizing the nutritional needs of infants and toddlers in Trunamangala Village. The implementation method is carried out through health education using lecture, discussion and demonstration methods using posters and power point instruments. The research targets were village communities, especially Cadre Mothers, pregnant women, mothers with babies and toddlers in the posyandu area of Trunamangala Village. The public seems to understand the education provided, as evidenced by several work programs that have been running during daily observations by researchers.
